Samantha Casper, a survivor of Severe postpartum depression after the birth of her first daughter Charley brings to the table an important message to women and families struggling with PPD and other maternal struggles. This necklace represents hope, love, strength, and light between mom and daughter after dealing with postpartum depression and other significant maternal struggles. Proceeds will be given to women struggling with postpartum depression and other maternal mental health problems. Every women should have the access to good treatment, therapy, medicine, and support. After correct treatment and with the support of resources and her family, Samantha was able to recover and bond with her baby. However, during her darkest days it felt like this reality would be impossible. Her toughest times led her to a month long hospitalization followed by outpatient rehabilitation. With hardwork and dedication to getting well she was able to recover mentally and then take care of her daughter and family. She feels as if she is a lucky one. Three and half years after having her daughter, Samantha had a baby boy. Despite the odds and research that PPD would happen again to her, this time around she did not suffer with postpartum depression. It is her lifelong purpose to advocate on this issue, help other sufferers and ultimately save lives along the way. This is an important message and story that needs to be spoken about to save lives and draw hope.
